This Earth Day, Remember That Planet Earth Is A Living, Breathing Planet
This Earth Day, remember to honor and show gratitude for Mother Nature. Living in peaceful harmony with the Earth is all encompassing. Your eating habits, hygienic and cleaning habits, and purchasing decisions directly affect the environment. Let’s remember that Planet Earth is a living, breathing planet that is alive. The Planet is 70% water – oceans, lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, and creeks - is covered with forests that provide oxygen, land that provides rich soil for growth and harvesting vegetation, and countless animal species that rely on these natural eco-systems for their daily life and survival.
When you stop and think about the vibrant beautiful life that permeates Planet Earth, it leaves you with a moment of pause and humility. When bathing and cleaning, please be sure that your products were purchased from an organic health food store and contain only pure, organic, earth-friendly plant essences. This will ensure that when rinsed down the drain, the soap will biodegrade quickly without creating pollution. Go vegetarian. Let the water and land be conserved for the creatures that depend on these for survival, as well as the crops that can feed the hungry. We as a collective species need to seriously examine how our daily life contributes to either the destruction of these precious delicate eco-systems, or even better, the harmony, vitality, and survival of these eco-systems. Take the pledge and make this Earth Day, 2010 the day to honor and respect all life on Earth.
