Baked Potato with melted Daiya Cheddar and Macaroni Recipe

My near five year old son loves it and ate several servings of it, made me very happy and my husband and I enjoyed it, too.

Baked Potato with melted Daiya Cheddar and Macaroni
Ingredients
2 large organic Russet potatoes, rinsed, cut in 1/2
4 tbsp. Daiya cheddar sheeze
4 tbsp. Vegenaise original flavor, a delicious vegan sour dream
4 tbsp. Earth Balance
1/2 C organic broccoli, rinsed, chopped
1 tbsp. organic carrot, rinsed, ends removed, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. onion, ends and peel removed, rinsed, chopped
1/2 C Bragg Liquid Aminos
3 Lightlife Smart Dogs, chopped
2 C gluten-free macaroni
1/2 C olive oil
Instructions:  Use a fork to poke holes in the potatoes so they cook evenly.  You can bake them in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 1/2 hours.  If you have access to 3 or 4 burners, it's very helpful and will be a big time saver.  Fill 1 medium size stainless steel pot with filtered water, but leave 3 inches so the water doesn't boil over.  Bring to a rapid boil and when it begins boiling, reduce the heat to medium and pour in the macaroni.  Stir evenly to prevent sticking and allow to cook for 20 minutes or until soft enough to eat.  Fill a 2nd medium size stainless steel pot with filtered water just enough to slightly cover the steamer.  Bring the water to a rapid boil and when the water begins to boil, reduce the heat to medium and pour in the veggies.  On a 3rd burner, heat 1/2 C olive oil in a nontoxic nonstick fry pan and cook the onions.  Stir evenly and allow to cook for 10 minutes until they soften a little, then, add the vegan hot dogs and squirt in 2 tbsp. of Bragg Liquid Aminos.  Continue stirring until the hot dogs and onions are soft and lightly brown.  When they are soft enough to eat, turn off the burner and set aside.

By now, the veggies should be finished cooking and soft enough to eat.  Turn off the burner and thoroughly drain the water.  Set aside.  Check the macaroni.  If it's soft enough to eat, great, if not, let it cook for another 15 minutes.  When it's soft enough to eat, turn off the burner and thoroughly drain the water and set it aside.  When the water is thoroughly drained, mix all 3 together and season well with Earth Balance and Bragg Liquid Aminos.  Now, the final step, put some Daiya cheddar sheeze on the potatoes and put them back in the microwave to melt the Daiya.  When the potatoes are cooked enough and the Daiya is melted, top with a tbsp. of Earth Balance and a tbsp. of Vegenaise.  You can eat the potatoes separately as an appetizer snack or all of it together as a meal. It's up to you. We ate it all together.  The delicious creamy combination was a big hit with my family and is sure to be a delicious big hit with yours.  Serve and enjoy!

Enjoy A Fun Organic Earth Friendly Halloween

It's time to prepare for a well celebrated Holiday of the year, Halloween. 2,000 years ago, Halloween was a very sacred holiday celebrated by the Celtic people in the ancient British Isles and Pagans throughout Europe. Today, Halloween is still a Holiday that's celebrated, but things have drastically changed. People still enjoy wearing costumes, pretending to be their alter ego.

Do you want to have a fun Halloween that is safe and non toxic and earth friendly?  Everyone loves to get dressed up in an outlandish creative outfit with wild colorful makeup that stands out in the crowd. Wearing funky creative zany costumes can be a fun way to celebrate Halloween, as long as the makeup is organic, earth-friendly, and non-toxic. Throughout the store, you'll see the regular merchandise combined with racks of new Halloween paraphernalia.  All that makeup may look appealing, fun, and eye-catching, but it contains potentially harmful petrochemicals and neurotoxins that can make anyone sick, especially those with asthma and chemical sensitivities.

Pay close attention to the product, especially the ingredient label. Vibrant wild colors contain F.D.&C. (Food, Drugs, & Cosmetics). These are derived from coal tar, petroleum, the same toxic smelly goo used to repair roads and rooftops.  Essentially, you are putting gasoline on your face and in your hair.  The cosmetics also contain synthetic fragrance, which contains 10,000 petrochemicals that are not regulated by the U.S. FDA.  The fragrance contains phthalates, which are known to be lung irritants.  If this sounds gross and scary, then you are paying attention.  The good news is that you don't have to buy these terrible toxic products that will potentially make you feel awful and are not earth friendly.

Take a trip to your local organic natural food shop and get to know the natural products and cosmetics being sold there.  The expression, which is a law about Kosher eating, "if in doubt, do without," also applies to cosmetics.  Since your skin is your body's largest organ and absorbs everything like a sponge, your safe healthy choice is to wear organic or wear nothing.

The safe healthy alternative is to enjoy a fun festive costume and to use products that contain 100% pure earth friendly plant essences.  There are many companies that make makeup and colorful hair decorations that contain 100% organic plant essences. You can have fun and celebrate and smell like organic roses, sandalwood, and mint and everyone will feel healthy and happy.  You can learn more about how to enjoy organic earth friendly beauty from my easy to read book, Keep Your Vanity Without Losing Your Sanity, on Amazon Kindle.  My book has very helpful tips and great information to help you make healthy sensible choices that are good for you, your family, and the earth.  Be sure to subscribe to my Holistic Organic SelfCare Newsletter for wonderful helpful tips.  I'm writing a very special issue for the Holiday Season and I will be including some wonderful delicious goodies and gifts, giveaways, and recipes.  You will find information about how to subscribe on the top right hand side of this blog.  Thank you for visiting.  Enjoy a fun, safe, healthy, earth friendly, organic Halloween.

Recipe Delicious Gluten Free Vegan Shells Vegetables Hot Dogs

This dish I made tonight is delicious, comforting and my husband and I ate seconds and thirds. No leftovers this time.

Rice Shells, Veggies, and Hot Dogs
Ingredients
2 C gluten free rice pasta shells
1/2 C organic cauliflower, rinsed, chopped
1 tbsp. organic carrot, ends removed, rinsed, sliced
2 tbsp. onion, ends and peel removed, rinsed, chopped
3 Lightlife vegan gluten-free smart dogs, chopped
1/2 C olive oil
1/2 C Bragg Liquid Aminos
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. thyme powder
1/2 tsp. ginger powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder

Instructions:  I was amazed how fast this recipe cooked tonight.  I can definitely include it in my fast cooking dishes.  It's delicious and very comforting.  If you have access to 3 burners, I suggest using all 3 to save time and make your life easier.  Fill a medium size pot of filtered water to nearly, leaving 3 inches of leeway so the water doesn't boil over.  Bring the water to a rapid boil and when the water reaches a rapid boil, reduce the heat to medium and pour in the pasta shells.  Stir evenly and gently to prevent sticking.  Allow to cook for 20 minutes or until soft enough to eat.  Fill a second medium size pot with filtered water until it slightly covers the steamer.  Bring the water to a rapid boil and when it reaches a rapid boil, reduce the heat to medium.  Pour in the cauliflower and carrot and cover the pot allowing for a little bit of steam to escape. Allow to steam for 15 minutes or until soft enough to eat.  And now for the third burner.  Heat 1/2 C olive oil in a non toxic non stick fry pan on medium heat.  When the oil begins to sizzle, pour in the chopped onions.  Stir evenly and gently.  Allow to cook for 10 minutes and when the onions begin to soften and become lightly brown, add the chopped vegan hot dogs.  Continue stirring and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes until the mixture is soft enough to eat and lightly brown.  When they are soft enough to eat, turn off the burner.  By now the pasta and veggies should be finished cooking.  Turn off the burners and thoroughly drain the water from both pots.  When the pasta and veggies are thoroughly drained, add them to the onion and hot dog mixture.  Add the remaining ingredients, including 1/2 C Bragg Liquid Aminos and 1/2 C olive oil, and mix well and evenly until all the seasonings are mixed well and the dish tastes delicious.  Serve and enjoy.

Gluten Free Macaroni Organic Vegetables Vegan Hot Dogs and Ketchup

Gluten Free Macaroni with Organic Vegetables, Vegan Hot Dogs, and Ketchup
Ingredients
2 C gluten-free brown rice macaroni
2 Lightlife vegan smart hot dogs, chopped
1/2 C organic cauliflower, rinsed, chopped
1/2 C organic zucchini, ends removed, rinsed, chopped
1/2 C portabella mushrooms, rinsed, chopped
2 tbsp. onion, ends and peel removed, rinsed, chopped
4 tbsp. organic ketchup
1/2 C olive oil
1/2 C Bragg Liquid Aminos
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. organic flax oil

Instructions:  Fill a medium size pot with filtered water almost full, but allow 3-4 inches leeway so the water doesn't boil over.  When the water reaches a rapid boil, reduce the heat to medium and add the macaroni.  Stir evenly to prevent sticking and allow to cook for 25 minutes or until soft enough to eat.  On a second burner, fill a medium size pot with filtered water, only this time, only allow the water to slightly cover the steamer.  Bring the water to a rapid boil and once it boils, reduce the heat to medium and add the cauliflower.  After 5 minutes, add the zucchini. Cover the pot to contain the steam, but allow for slight leeway so the steam escapes a little and the water doesn't boil over.  On a third burner, heat half a C of olive oil on medium heat and after the oil sizzles, add the onions. Stir evenly and allow to cook for five minutes and then add a little more Bragg Liquid Aminos.  Then, add the chopped hot dogs and cook for another 10 minutes.  When the onions and hot dogs begin to lightly brown, add the mushrooms and continue stirring.  At this point, check the macaroni and steamed vegetables and when all is done cooking, turn off the burners and thoroughly drain the water and set aside.  When the onion mixture in the pan is finished cooking, turn off the burner.  When the macaroni and vegetables are finished draining, add them to the onion mixture.  Add the remaining seasonings and stir and mix well.  Serve and enjoy!

Youtube Video Collaboration Social Media Idea About Breathing Clean Air Free of Neurotoxins

I have an idea for a video collaboration for passionate organic greenies to have your voices heard about indoor and outdoor air pollution, especially with neurotoxins and scented products and I'd like to connect and share some thoughts and ideas about how to quickly raise awareness while we still have air to breathe. I'm not making any money from this, unless people take interest and want to buy my organic beauty book from my blog, but that's up to them. I'm doing this as a community service to have our voices heard and use social media to spread it viral like wild fire. I have a few canary environmental illness friends who like the idea and want to work with me, but they don't use twitter or don't have the strength to think about it, which I totally understand and respect so I'm asking here. My dear wonderful husband and I are 2 voices and we need our army team behind us to be strong.  We need people who have strong connections, celebrities would be wonderful and very helpful. If you are interested and want to be part of this, please comment and pm me, thank you.

Recipe Delicious Organic Vegan Brown Rice and Veggies

Organic Brown Rice and Veggies
Ingredients
1 C organic brown rice, soaked overnight for better digestion
1/2 C organic cauliflower, rinsed, chopped
1 tbsp. organic carrot ends removed, rinsed, sliced
1/2 C organic zucchini, ends removed, rinsed, chopped
2 tbsp. onion, peel and ends removed, rinsed, chopped
6 small sheets roasted seaweed
1/2 C olive oil
1/2 C Bragg Liquid Aminos
2 tbsp. organic unrefined sesame oil
2 tbsp. organic flax oil

Instructions: This is 1 of my simplest fastest recipes and it is healthy and so delicious.  I highly recommend it to families who don't have much time for food preparation.  Once the brown rice has soaked overnight, rinse well in a colander and set aside.  Bring 1/2 a medium size pot of filtered water to a rapid boil and when it reaches a rapid boil, add the brown rice, stir evenly to prevent sticking and reduce the heat to medium.  Allow to cook for 20 minutes.  If you can use 3 burners at the same time, I recommend it, but if you aren't able to, just do the best you can.  In another medium size pot, fill with filtered water until it slightly covers the steamer.  Bring the water to a rapid boil and then when it reaches a rapid boil, reduce the heat to medium, add in the carrot and cauliflower and cover with a lid but allow a slight leeway for some steam to escape.  Allow to steam for 10 minutes, then add the zucchini and steam for another 5 minutes.  Turn off the burner and thoroughly drain the water in a colander and set aside.  Do the same with the brown rice.  On a 3rd burner, heat 1/2 C olive oil in a non-toxic non-stick fry pan on medium heat and when it begins to sizzle, add the onions.  Stir evenly and allow to cook for 10 minutes and the onions begin to lightly brown, stir more and squirt in a few tbsp. of Bragg Liquid Aminos and continue stirring.  When the onions are brown and soft enough to eat, turn off the burner.  You can mix all the ingredients together in the pan and add the remaining seasonings.  Serve and enjoy!

Tasty Ayurveda Potato Stew Turmeric

I made this delicious dish today and it came out much better than I hoped.  It's a pacifying dish for sensitive vata doshas in Ayurveda because I added 1/2 tsp. of turmeric to help with the painful inflammation my dear husband and I have in our bodies.  The potato is one of our favorite foods and it's one of my favorite foods to use when cooking.  The following is my delicious recipe.  Enjoy and happy healthy organic vegan Ayurvedic cooking.

Potato Stew with Turmeric
Ingredients
5 medium size organic potatoes, ends removed, chopped
1 C asparagus, hard stalk ends removed, rinsed, chopped
1/2 organic cauliflower, rinsed, chopped
2 tbsp. onion, peel and ends removed, rinsed, chopped
1/2 C organic sweet peas from a can
1/2 total Bragg Liquid Aminos - parts used in segments
1/2 C olive oil
2 tbsp. organic flax oil
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. thyme powder
1/2 C crimini and baby bella mushrooms, rinsed, chopped

Instructions:
If you are able to use 3 burners to save time, do so.  I do and it helps a lot.  If not, then, do the best you can.  Bring two medium size pots of filtered water to a rapid boil - 1 a pot filled halfway with 4 inches leeway from the top and the other pot filled with filtered water enough to cover the steamer a little bit.  When both come to a rapid boil, pour the potatoes into the 1st pot and the cauliflower and asparagus in the 2nd pot.  Reduce the heat to medium and cover the steaming veggies with a lid but allow a tiny bit of steam to escape so don't cover entirely. Stir the potatoes so they cook evenly and allow to cook for 20 minutes. Allow the veggies to steam for 15 minutes.

On a 3rd burner, pour the olive oil in a nontoxic nonstick pan and heat on medium until it begins to sizzle and then add the chopped onions.  Stir evenly and allow to cook for 5 minutes, then squirt in 4 tbsp. of Bragg Liquid Aminos and continue stirring.  When the onion begins to soften, pour in the chopped mushrooms and add the sweet peas.  Continue stirring until it is cooked and mixed evenly.  When it is cooked and ready to eat, turn off the burner.  When the potatoes and the veggies are soft and tender enough to eat, turn off the burners and drain the water.  If you have a large enough colander, you can drain both at the same time.  Once the water is thoroughly drained, pour the entire mixture into the pan with the remainder of the dish.  If it's a hot day, you may want to chill the dish for 10 minutes in the refrigerator or freezer so it's cool enough to eat, but that's up to you.  Otherwise, stir in the oils and seasonings and mix well.  Serve and enjoy your delicious healthy meal.

Baking Soda Vinegar and Lemon Juice Are Efficient Natural Household Cleaners

Wow Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me!  I am very thankful for the natural nontoxic earth friendly approaches I'm able to use to clean my house from top to bottom.  Everything from my laundry, to cleaning my kitchen sink, to cleaning the bathroom - I've been using these wonderful earth friendly nontoxic approaches for more than 20 years and I'm always happy with the wonderful results.  I know I sound like a commercial *laughs* and I don't intend to, but I really wish I could inspire and get other people to use the same healthy nontoxic approaches to cleaning that I use.  I don't know why people don't use them, but I strongly encourage and recommend that people give these approaches a chance because you really don't know what you are missing.  You could be saving your wallet and you could help your family improve their health simply by using these wonderful earth friendly effective approaches.    It's much easier than you think and I imagine you would prefer to contribute to the solution and you would prefer to support those companies that genuinely care about the planet, the animals, and humanity.  Please subscribe to my Holistic Organic Mama Self-Care Newsletter for wonderful helpful ideas to help you green and simplify your life and some special surprise holistic organic gift goodies, including some delicious healthy organic vegan recipes.  Please see the sign up form below my tasty vegan cookbook ad image on the top right-hand side of this blog.  Here are 2 recipes I can offer you right now to help you be clean and green and healthy and keep your carbon footprint very small:

1 C baking soda + 1 C white distilled vinegar mixed together in your washing machine is very effective for fresh clean clothes.  Just pour in the 2 into the machine instead of the regular detergent you use.  You can use hot or cold water, it's your choice, both are effective. Just be sure to only mix them in the machine, not in a bowl beforehand because they will fizz right out of the bowl and that is a messy overflow.

2 handfuls of baking soda + 1/2 white distilled vinegar + 1 tbsp. of fresh squeezed lemon juice is very effective in cleaning your grimy kitchen sink.  It amazes me every time how effective this is and the fresh lovely lemon aroma is wonderful.  After you clean the sink and remove the food residue and anything in there, sprinkle and pour in the mixture and let it sit for a few minutes, then sponge it around the sink a little and then give it a good thorough rinse.  Both approaches - laundry and kitchen sink - are very efficient and very affordable.  You can learn more by following my tweets on Twitter. I share great helpful tips there, too. http://www.twitter.com/notperfume

Stay well, feel good, be gentle with yourself and the planet.
Much Love,

Everything in the Body is Connected in Healing Self Care

After feeling terrible pain in my mouth last night and feeling stressed and out of balance and realizing that everything is connected, I want to share a special important thought here about self-care.  It's very sad, but in the West, most people are taught that when your tooth hurts, or your back hurts or you have a headache, take a pill, go to the doctor, and pray that you feel better very soon.  No one learns until they go see a naturopathic physician that everything in the body is connected.  Our arms, legs, back, head, mouth, everything is connected to the same body and to think everything is separate and not affecting the other is absurd and makes no sense.

I was lying in bed, crying, trying to sleep with this terrible pain in my mouth and thankfully, my wonderful healing powerful Inner Voice Intuition said very loudly to me, "breathe, count to 10, relax, pray, use your essential oils, massage your gums, and you will be ok."  It's not easy to relax when feeling terrible pain, but I knew my Inner Voice was right, so I listened.  I had already treated my gums with tea tree, oregano, and clove essential oils and after massaging my gums and sucking on a healing organic peppermint lozenge, finally, I cried myself to sleep.

When I woke up, I felt so relieved and thankful that I slept and felt better and I promised myself to take much better care of my gums and treat my body with organic apple cider vinegar and do oil pulling and anything else, including urine therapy, that will help me to heal my mouth and help me feel much better.  The human body is a river and nothing is stagnant.  Everything we do, eat, walk, laugh, sleep, bathe, drink, it affects every part of the body.   This is very important to remember in holistic healing.  Eating healthy whole natural  plant-based foods and taking a holistic natural healing approach to self-care and wellness is vital and integral for feeling good and staying well.

Much Love Blessings Gratitude,
Dayna

It's important now more than ever for me to do things that help me feel good and keep my physical, emotional, and spiritual energy up so I can cope better and reduce my stress level.  I've always enjoyed watching comedy and laughing, eating delicious healthy food, fresh clean air, connecting with nature, meditating, enjoying a soothing cleansing hot bath and shower.  But now as a hard working Mother, with all the stress in my own life, and then add the stress of the hectic complicated world we live in, self-care is vital for survival and maintaining sanity and peace of mind.  When I am enduring a painful emotional meltdown with my special needs son and I feel like I can't stop crying, I'm reminded that taking a deep breath, counting to 10, doing some gentle yoga stretches, and enjoying eating some delicious healthy organic vegan chocolate or leftovers of a delicious organic vegan dish I made will help me feel better and relax.  This is an important part of being self-sufficient.  I love my son, even though he drives me crazy, and I need to stay healthy and well for my sake and his and my dear husband's sake.  Feeling bad is low toxic energy and feeling good is positive high healing energy.  When I feel good, I feel inspired and motivated and I feel like I am capable of doing many things.  I feel creative and I feel that lightness feeling of joy and sweetness and I feel balanced and good about myself as a person, a woman, a Mama, a Soul.

When I'm having a difficult day and I feel stressed, distressed, and I feel like nothing is going well, I stop, take a deep breath, cry it out, and I remind myself to do what feels good and helps me feel better.  I recommend this approach to all sensitive creatives who are working hard on their writing, artwork, music, painting, drawing, cooking.  If you feel like you are having an emotional meltdown and nothing is going smoothly and you feel stuck, breathe, count to 10, close your eyes and meditate and do something that helps you feel better.  Sometimes, we just need to stop and pause, go do something else that helps us feel better and more centered and regroup.  I've had to take this approach many times when writing my books and articles and editing.  It is very helpful and very effective.  I welcome your feedback and insights. Please feel free to post and share your comments and thoughts.
Much Love Gratitude Blessings,

Healing Mint and Ginger Herbal Tea Recipe

I'd like to share a delicious healing herbal tea recipe I make when my dear husband and I don't feel well and need a gentle energy boost.  It is a wonderful mixture of herbs that mix very well and is delicious.

In a mug, pour boiling hot water over
2 tsp. fresh mint leaves, rinsed
1/2 tsp. fresh cut ginger, rinsed
2 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp. maple syrup or your favorite organic unrefined sweetener

Let the hot tea steep and brew for 30 minutes until the herbs blend well and is very potent.  When the aroma fills the air and the tea tastes very minty and gingery, you know the tea is ready to sip.  You can enjoy this delicious healing herbal tea on cold days, but you can also enjoy it chilled on hot days.  It's wonderful to sip it slowly throughout the day and the herbal potency will help you feel good for hours.  You can enjoy this and more delicious healing herbal and vegan recipes in my Holistic Organic Self-Care Newsletter.  Just fill in the form on the right hand side of this blog and you can sign up for free.  Please feel free to contact me via email and social media with any questions you have.  Enjoy and have a lovely day.

My Favorite Holistic Healing Self Care

My favorite things for my holistic healing self-care are cuddling and playing with my 2 sweet adorable cats, my fur babies, enjoying my favorite healing aromatherapy essential oils, and comedy, laughter.  Another special self-care favorite is my enjoying a delicious, healthy, comforting meal I cooked.  I have many favorite recipes, but it's the most comforting delicious recipes that help me feel better.  I will share another delicious recipe on my blog very soon.  Cuddling and playing with my 2 adorable sweet cats helps me forget about all my woes and the woes of the world.  I enjoy our special wonderful moments so very much because I don't have to think about the fact that I'm an adult and I don't have to think about the woes of the world.  I can just enjoy, be, relax, and share the most beautiful love feelings and those moments never end, they are always there and I am very grateful.  My favorite aromatherapy healing essential oils are sandalwood, sweet orange, and cinnamon.

I enjoy them separately and sometimes combined and they always soothe me and help me feel relaxed.  I diffuse them in the air and enjoy the aromatherapy during my healing bath and throughout the day to help me feel grounded and centered.  These essential oils are especially healing for me because I am a Vata dosha in Ayurveda and they help me feel better when I feel stressed.  Comedy is my third favorite part of holistic healing self-care because laughter is the best healing medicine and heals all my woes.  I'm very thankful that I have my holistic self-care to help me stay well.  Life can be challenging at times, especially as a hard working Mother of a special needs delayed child and some days are more stressful than others.  But gentle, holistic, healing, self-care does wonders to help me stay well, centered, and grounded.  I hope my ideas here will help you feel better and stay well, too. Much Love, Gratitude, Blessings, Dayna

Herbalism Healing

When I began learning about natural remedies 20 years ago, I was introduced to a world of herbs and healing that was wonderful for my heart and soul.  The most important thing I learned about healing and herbs is that Mother Nature will always be there for support.  Once you learn about wild crafting and how to heal, be well, and survive, herbal natural remedies will always be able to take good care of you.  Wonderful healing herbs like mustard, tomatoes, chamomile, ginger, dandelion, eucalyptus, cinnamon, and garlic are ancient healing herbs that have been growing wild for centuries and will continue to grow wild for many more centuries.

The best way to take good care of yourself and be self-sufficient with your self-care is to put your trust in Mother Nature.  I write about this a lot because I have complete trust in Mother Nature's healing medicine cabinet.  I really do walk my walk.  I say this with humble love, not to brag, but I have not taken any pills in 30 years and I will always be a holistic herbalist.  I won't say how bad allopath medicine is because I express this in all my blogposts.  I will say, however, that for every ailment, there is a wonderful healing herb that can and will help you feel better.  I am not a certified naturopath, though I wish I had gotten certified, but I have more than 30 years worth of knowledge and personal life experience to recommend natural healing herbs for all health needs.   As the desire for wise healing natural medicine increases, as well as the wise understanding of the potential danger of using "slash and burn" practices, people will begin to understand the strength and potency of healing herbs and grassroots holistic medicine and they will use ancient sage wisdom.  It is for this reason alone that developing a strong healthy relationship with Mother Nature and your body and understanding your body is so crucial.

It is much easier to understand and recognize an ingredient like chamomile or peppermint than propylene glycol or PEG (polyethylene glycol).   A very favorite expression among the health and wellness community is "if in doubt, do without".  Please keep it simple and do your health a caring loving favor.  Trust Mother Nature and let her take good loving caring nurturing care of you.

I'd like to share a delicious herbal tea recipe my dear husband and I enjoy that always comforts us and helps us feel better when we feel under the weather.

Mint Ginger Lemon Tea
In a hot cup of water, brew or steep 1 tsp. fresh mint leaves, rinsed, or a caffeine-free organic mint tea bag, add 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, peel removed, rinsed, and 1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice.  Stir gently for a a couple minutes to allow the herbs and lemon to mix well and create a delicious aromatic flavor.  Depending on how strong you want it, allow it to steep for 10 minutes for extra potent strength or 5 minutes for a little milder and weaker.  I personally enjoy it nice and strong.

Enjoy, feel better, stay well.
Much Love, Peace, Healing Light, Gratitude, Blessings,
Dayna :)
